This is an interesting, pre-WWII-period (ie. 1937-dated) colourful, carton-based shooting-target (ie. 'Schießziel') depicting on its front a deer that was succesfully hit on 29 November 1937 as was issued to: 'Schütze Zwicker' (member within the: '1./Infanterie-Regiment 31') and that comes in an overall nicely preserved condition. The neat 'Schießziel' has an approximate diameter of 10 cms. and was most certainly kept for decades as a souvenir and was recently uncovered in Germany. The piece shows a (neatly machine-typed!) confirmation of the successful shot on its back and is signed by Zwickers' commanding-officer (being an unidentified 'Hauptmann u. Kompagnie-Chef'). The piece shows also a (blue-coloured) ink-stamp (that reads: '1.Kompagnie Infanterie-Regiment 31 - Plauen i. Bgtl.' as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a neat - and actually unusually seen! - shooting-target (ie. 'Schießziel') that was kept for decades as a souvenir!
