This is a truly attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - example of a neatly 'BeVo'-woven so-called: 'Sicherheits- u. Hilfsdienst' (ie. 'SHD'-) armbadge (ie. 'Ärmelabzeichen') being a greyish-coloured example depicting an: 'Aesculapus'-symbol as was intended for a: 'Feldscher' (ie. medical SHD-staff-member) and that comes in an overall very nice- (simply never used- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The badge - which depicts a silver-white-coloured, 'Aesculapus'-symbol on a greyish- (and green-rimmed!) coloured background - was introduced in late 1941 and was one of a series of - at least - six different such SHD speciality- ie. trade-badges. These 'specialist' badges were worn on the left upper-arm. The piece comes - as stated above - in a simply never used- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' condition: it came as 'straightly cut-of the role'. The patch is just a tiny bit stained caused by storage-age only and does show some (minimal) damage in the background (the patch itself is of coure fully undamaged as can be noticed on the pictures. Simply an attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - 'SHD'-arm-patch as was used by one of the lesser known TR-organisations!
