Superb - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M36-/M40'-pattern) shoulderstraps as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Offz.-Anwärter der Infanterie'
This is an attractive - fully matching and actually nowadays not that easily found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern, NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - 'Oberfeldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: sergeant first-class and officers'-candidate who served within an army infantry-regiment ie. unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit - I deem - clearly used ie. worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length each - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured- (and woolen-based) 'upperdecks'. The straps - which have the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping attached - show the (greyish-coloured- ie. 'sub-dued'-pattern) NCO-braid attached (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that this is a typical standard-issued ie. non-'tailor-made'- (ie. non-privately-purchased) pair that was clearly used- and/or worn. The neat straps - which came mounted onto their period tongues - show as stated above moderate usage and/or wear (they are totally void of any damage but do show some minor staining and/or dust). The set shows four (larger-sized, fully matching and/or aluminium-based) pips period-attached and shows a neat pair of (double-sized, sub-dued- and/or 'stitched-together'!) slip-ons (ie. 'Anwärter-Laschen') period-attached denoting that the NCO who wore this pair was an: 'Offiziers-Anwärter' ie. officers'-candidate (as can be seen on the pictures). This shoulderstrap-pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive 'Heeres'-related, early- (pre-) war-period and/or NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter der Infanterie-Truppen'!
