Superb - and with certainty rarely encountered! - very unusual, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based, WH (Kriegsmarine) related so-called: 'Ehrennadel für Verdienste auf dem Gebiet der Wehrbetreuung 1943'
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - very unusual, silver-toned- and zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based, WH (Kriegsmarine) related so-called: 'Ehrennadel für Verdienste auf dem Gebiet der Wehrbetreuung 1943' (or: naval honorary-lapel-pin as was awarded for performed duty in the field of defense-support in the year 1943) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit most certainly issued and/or moderately used-), condition. The neat albeit tiny piece - that measures only 2,5 cms. in height - depicts a downward-positioned sword upon which an opened book is visible showing the date '1943' and is surrounded by oak-leaves (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which is totally void of a makers-designation or alike - comes naturally mounted onto its (functional and totally unaltered) pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up and has a nicely preserved silver-toned finish (as can be seen on the pictures). I could not find much reference-material on this piece (and deem that it most certainly deserves further investigative work). Without any doubt is this a very rarely encountered, WH (Kriegsmarine) related honorary-lapel-pin that was only awarded in a very limited quantity. I am convinced that I have priced this neat example according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
