This is an attractive - and truly rarely found! - example of a WH (Heeres) Panzer-related-'Armwinkel' (ie. rank-chevron) as specifically intended for usage on the black-coloured 'Panzer'-type 'wrap-around'-tunics as was executed on a typical black-coloured- and/or woolen-based background as was intended for usage by a soldier with the - unusually encountered! - rank of: 'Stabsgefreiter' (ie. senior-private) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued albeit never worn- nor even tunic-attached-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed and shows a detailed, machine-embroidered- (and silverish-white-coloured) 'star' whereunder a double-stripe of silverish-coloured- and/or 'standard'-pattern NCO-braid can be observed. The patch was presumably issued but was never tunic-attached and will be hard to be upgraded. The piece is additionally 'backed' with a piece of black-coloured linnen (as can be seen on the pictures). The black-coloured piece was most certainly intended for army (ie. Heeres) usage and could not be used by an SS-staffmember simply due to the fact that this particular rank did NOT exist within the (Waffen) SS. Simply a very attractive WH 'Panzer'-type rank-badge that is I deem priced according to its unmistaken rarity!
