Attractive - truly worn albeit mis-matched! - pair of Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the bright-yellow-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'SS-Hauptscharführer' who served within the: 'SS Nachrichten-Truppen'

This attractive - truly worn albeit clearly mis-matched but with certainty used as such! - Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair shows the neat bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured branchcolour and/or 'silk-like'-type piping attached and were as such worn by a (senior) NCO holding the rank of: 'SS-Hauptscharführer der Nachrichten-Truppen'. The straps - which originates from a private-household in Germany where they were recently found - are in all facets (both) fully 'text-book'-SS-straps and do show the clear signs of having been used- and worn as such. The shoulderstraps - which each measure approx. 11 cms. sized in length as more often encountered - do show some moderate age, wear, staining and or slight fading, simply caused by moderate wear and/or age. One of the straps comes mounted onto its (early-pattern) tongue attached (and has the black-coloured underlay) whereas the other shows the typical Waffen-SS-pattern- and/or: smaller-shaped tongue attached as only observed on genuine Waffen-SS-pattern straps: this latter shows the field-grey-coloured underlay (as can be noticed on the pictures). The pair shows the silverish-grey-coloured (ie. somewhat sub-dued) NCO-braid and two (regular-sized, matching- and or aluminium-based) pips period-attached denoting that they were used by an NCO with the rank of: 'Hauptscharführer' (or: senior-sergeant). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that both straps show an identical, horizontally-mounted piece of early- (ie. 'dotted') pattern NCO-braid (which is later added by hand-stitching as can be noticed on the pictures) something that confirms the fact that the NCO who wore this set was once (field?) promoted from: 'SS-Unterscharführer' to: 'SS-Hauptscharführer'. It should be noted that these original, period Waffen-SS-shoulderstrap-pairs can nowadays easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are of the NCO-type and piped in the not that commonly encountered, bright-yellow-coloured- (ie. 'SS-Nachrichten-Truppen'- or: SS-signals-troops-related-) branchcolour. I deem that this attractive and truly used pair is accordingly priced!
