Attractive - and detailed! - golden-bronze-toned commemorative-award-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille') entitled: 'Volksabstimmung im Saargebiet - 13.-1-1935'
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often encountered! - golden-bronze-toned, commemorative-award-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille') entitled: 'Deutsch die Saar immerdar - Volksabstimmung im Saargebiet - 13.-1-1935' and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved, condition. The neat - somewhat smaller-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece - shows an illustration of a miner (with lamp) surrounded by the text: 'Deutsch die Saar immerdar' and on its back a map of the 'Saargebiet' (surrounded by the abovementioned text) and has an approximate diameter of only 3,6 cms. The piece has very pronounced detail as to be expected. It was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and has maintained a neat (somewhat matted- ie. frosted-) golden-bronze-toned age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades. Simply an attractive, period table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
