Superb - and truly scarcely seen! - 'Reichsluftschützbund (RLB)'-related lapel-pin as was intended to signify: 'Flugmeldedienst' being a maker-marked example that shows a clearly engraved bearers'- (ie. serial-) number that reads: '27820'
This particular and neatly enamelled- and/or typical circular-shaped membership-badge (ie. 'Mitgliedsabzeichen') was intended to signify membership within the 'Flugmeldedienst' (being a part of the: 'Reichsluftschützbund (RLB)' ie. air-raid warden-service) is a nicely maker- (ie. 'J. Preissler - Pforzheim'-) marked example that shows an engraved bearers'- (ie. serial-) number on its back that reads: '27820' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat badge - which has an approximate diameter of 2,8 cms. - comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and fully unaltered!) pin-/catch set-up and comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition: the black-, light-blue- and/or bright-red-coloured- (and nicely enamelled) surface simply shows no enamel damage whatsoever and has been nicely preserved: the piece is just a tiny bit diry but was never cleaned. Next to the clearly engraved bearers'-number and makers'-designation does the piece (which is of the first pattern) show a: 'Ges.Gesch. '-patent-pending-marking (as can be seen on the pictures). An similar piece is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken'-lapel-pin-catalogue wherein it is given a unique reference-number (ie. '5908B'). Simply an attractive and neatly enamelled, TR-period 'Mitgliedsabzeichen' that signified membership within one of the lesser known TR-associations and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
