Attractive - and scarcely seen! - WH (Luftwaffe) officers'-type visor-cap eagle that is neatly hand-embroidered on beige-white-coloured linnen as was specifically used for the white-topped LW officer-type visor-caps (ie. 'Offz.-Sommer-Schirmmützen')
This is an attractive - and actually quite scarcely encountered! - example of a WH (Luftwaffe) neatly hand-embroidered, officers'-type visor-cap eagle (ie. 'Schirmmützenadler für Sommer-Schirmmützen der Offizieren der Luftwaffe') that is (unusally!) executed on beige-white-coloured (and 'smooth'-type!) linnen as was specifically intended for usage onto the various white-topped LW officer-type visor-caps and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately used- and/or once cap-attached-), condition. The eagle comes in a very nice condition overall: it only shows some minor age simply caused by faire wear and/or decades of storage. The piece - which has an approximate wingspan of approximately 7 cms. is (as more often) - is void of a 'backing-plate' (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle has great detail (extraordinary embroidery!) and can of course excellently be used to restore any white-topped, LW-officers'-pattern visor-cap. Simply a truly rarely encountered piece of LW cloth-insignia that is with certainty accordingly priced!
