Superb, 'standard-issue'-pattern, black-coloured and/or copper-based WH-compass (ie. 'Marschkompass') which is nicely 'MK'-marked and/or individually numbered: '27854' and that comes mounted onto its period 'Fangschnur'

The truly attractive compass (ie. 'Marschkompass') is naturally still fully functional and retains most of its (fairly glossy) black-painted ie. sprayed colour and is marked with the engraved serial-number (ie. '27854') and/or typical 'MK'- (ie. 'Militär- o. Marsch-Kompass'-) designation as mentioned above. The compass shows as stated only moderate wear and/or age but is naturally still fully functional. This truly 'high-quality' piece was most certainly issued in the early war-years (or before) but was most certainly used throughout the WWII. The piece was moderately used and does show some regular paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example came still mounted onto its 'standard-issue'-pattern, black- (ie. darker-brown) coloured- and/or genuine leather-based WH compass-lanyard (ie. 'Fangschnur für Marschkompass'). This lanyard - which is actually a scarce WH-equipment-item in itself! - shows only moderate wear and/or age but is naturally still fully functional and/or souple. This specific equipment-piece - which has a length of approximately 65 cms. as more often - is a non-maker-marked example (as can be seen on the pictures) something that is most certainly not always the case. It is executed in black- (ie. darker-brown) coloured leather and is fully souple and void of any damages or alike and shows an attached (early-styled- ie. copper-based-) 'musketon'-hook and/or: typically 'T'-shaped- (and/or also copper-based) 'closure-end' in place (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and in this completely untouched condition actually unusually encountered ! - pre-war-period, WH-equipment-item that can easily be graded 'scarce'!
