Superb - and very early- ie. 'Reichswehr'-period - WH (Heeres) officers'- (ie. eventually NCO-) type breasteagle being a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' example as executed in attractive so-called: 'flat-wire'- (ie. 'BeVo'-) weave-pattern
This is an attractive example of a neat - and I deem very early- ie. 'Reichswehr'-period! - WH (Heeres) officers'- (ie. eventually NCO-) type breasteagle (ie.'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' example as executed in attractive so-called: 'flat-wire'- (ie. 'BeVo'-) weave-pattern on a field-grey- (ie. bluish-green-) coloured- and/or linnen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. This - actually scarely encountered! - breast-eagle is executed in the so-called: 'BeVo-flat-wire'-weave style and is executed in silverish-toned thread on a (typical) field-grey-coloured background (and having a field-grey-coloured and/or linnen-based 'backing' as to be expected). These eagles were presumably intended for officer- (ie. NCO-) usage and have truly stunning detail (as can be seen on the pictures) and simply cannot be upgraded: it comes 'as straightly cut-off the role' and was naturally never folded nor confectioned. Moreover, does it show some minimal glue-remains on its back simply caused by having glued into an album or scrapbook once (as can be noticed on the pictures). This example originates from a 'Musterbuch' (or: sample-book) that was period-compiled by the producing-company 'Offermann' as was based in the town of Ratingen. Simply a great opportunity to acquire a neat and very early- (ie. 'Reichswehr'-) period, WH (Heeres) officers'-/ie. NCO-type breasteagle as executed in 'BeVo-flat-wire'-weave-style!
