This is a very attractive - and I deem hardly ie. only minimally used! - example of a (Heeres) typical field-grey-coloured- and/or steel-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being a clearly maker- (ie. 'Dr. F. & Co.') marked- and/or: '1942'-dated example that comes in an overall wonderful- (ie. presumably issued- but nevertheless still 'virtually mint'), condition. The buckle truly retains almost all of its somewhat 'shiny'-styled, field-grey-coloured finish without showing any real defaults: it does show some minimal wear- and age-marks but was simply never cleaned nor polished and does show some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows also some obvious dust and/or staining caused by over more than 80 years of storage. The buckle shows a clearly present and impressed makers'-designation-stamp that reads: 'Dr. F. & Co. - 42' (something that is more often observed). Simply an attractive - and nowadays quite scarcely found! - neatly maker-marked, 'Heeres'-example that is priced according to its overall very nice ie. just minimally used- ie. hardly worn condition!
