Neat - and 17 mm. sized! - miniature lapel-pin (ie. 'Halbminiatur') depicting a: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class wound-badge) being a maker- (ie. 'L/54'-) marked example as executed in silver-coloured metal
This is an attractive - and 17 mm. sized! - miniature lapel-pin (ie. 'Halbminiatur') depicting a: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class wound-badge) being a maker- (ie. 'L/54'-) marked example as executed in minimally tarnished- but clearly silver-coloured- (and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) metal and that comes mounted onto its original, long-sized pin and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem only minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The piece is a truly detailed example that retains a very nice and just minimally tarnished age-patina: most of its original silver-toned finish is present and/or nicely preserved: the piece has just a tiny bit tarnished over the years but is totally void of any damage. Although its truly small size it shows great pronounced detail and is in fact rarer to encounter than its regular sized counterparts (the photos do not do justice to this piece: in hands it is much nicer and/or detailed). Simply an attractive miniature 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber' lapel-pin as was produced by the desirable maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Schauerte & Höhfeld' and that is accordingly priced
