Attractive, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based and/or clearly maker- (ie. '26'-) marked example of a golden wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold') as was produced by the maker: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt'
The attractive (and/or: zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based-) wound-badge shows only moderate wear and/or age but retains most of its original, golden-coloured and/or typical 'golden-toned' finish: it shows some regular wear and/or age and has without doubt been used and/or worn. The badge is as stated neatly maker-marked with the super-imposed makers-designation: '26' on the back as always (as can be seen on the pictures) signifying that it deals with a piece as produced by the - for golden-class not that often encountered maker ie. 'Hersteller' named: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' based in the town of Pforzheim. Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped-) pin and/or (typically!) molded catch (ie. catch-set-up) fully functional and of course present. The piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age, dust and/or staining as to be expected and has also become a bit tarnished over the years. Moreover, does it show a somewhat 'migriertes' surface: something that is common with these by the: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' produced examples. Simply an attractive and unusually encountered 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold' that is accordingly priced!
