Attractive - albeit single but still very scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard for a WH (Heeres) 'Feldpolizeiobersekretär der Geheime Feldpolizei' (being of a rank comparable with an: 'Oberleutnant')

This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly very scarcely encountered! - specific 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for a WH (Heeres) ' Feldpolizeiobersekretär der Geheime Feldpolizei' (being of a rank comparable with the rank of: 'Oberleutnant' ie. lieutnant first-class) and that comes in an overall very nice (I deem hardly worn- nor even tunic-attached-), condition. The board - which is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or darker-green-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) has the neat (light-blue- ie. 'hellblauer'- coloured-) branchcolour (ie. 'Zwischenfarbe') and typical silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdeck' showing an (interwoven) light-blue-coloured 'stripe' something that was obligatory for all shoulderboards as worn and/or used by the various 'Geheime Feldpolizei'-officials. The board measures approximately 11 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its (period) thinner-shaped tongue attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The board shows a (regular-sized, silver-toned- and/or typical aluminium-based) so-called: 'GFP'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and a single (identically-styled) pip, period-attached. These devices are minimally tarnished and/or stained but retain still very nice and/or pronounced detail (as can be seen on the pictures). The board was (I deem) hardly used and does show some (truly minor) staining caused by decades of storage and minimal wear. This particular example originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired. Simply an attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard that belonged to a: WH (Heeres) 'Feldpolizeiobersekretär der Geheime Feldpolizei': too bad it is only a single specimen!
