Attractive, WH (Heeres) trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie.: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was intended for a: 'Gasschutzunteroffizier' (or: gas-training NCO) being a machine-embroidered- and/or later-war-period 'variant'
This is an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (or: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for a: 'Gasschutz-Unteroffizier' (or: gas-training NCO) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem never used- ie. 'virtually mint'-), condition. The neat patch is (as always) executed on a field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and shows a (detailed and/or neatly machine-embroidered-) 'GU'-sign as executed in bright-yellow-coloured linnen. The patch is not maker-marked nor backed (which is common for this badge). This is an attractive - and not that commonly encountered - army trade- or special-career patch that was only introduced in late 1944. The patch on offer here shows some minimal staining simply caused by decades of storage. This particular example originated from a larger-sized- cloth-insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and later-war-period! - WH (Heeres) trade-/specialist badge that comes actually not that often for sale!
