This attractive - typical 'tropical-issued'! - WH (Kriegsmarine) side- ie. field-cap insignia-piece (ie. 'Tropen Schiffchen-Adler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere der Kriegsmarine') being a typical golden-yellow- (ie. tan-) coloured example as executed on a tropical-pattern, brownish- (ie. typical tan-) coloured and/or: linnen-based background as to be expected. The piece comes - as stated above - in a non-confectioned condition and comes as 'straightly cut-of the role' (as can be seen on the pictures). It is just a tiny bit stained caused by decades of storage but has maintained nice detail, overall. These original machine-woven examples are getting nowadays almost impossible to find something that merits its (I deem) justified asking-price. The eagle can as such perfectly serve to restore any tropical-styled side-cap (ie. 'Schiffchen') or even M41 field-cap (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmütze'). These 'tropical-issue-' (ie. DAK- or 'Deutsches Afrika Korps'-related-) naval-cap-eagles can easily be graded 'scarce' and are nowadays not that often offered for sale!
