Neat - and clearly used & worn! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being (I deem) a later-war-period- and/or neatly maker- (ie. '26'-) marked example by the maker: 'B.H. Mayers' Kunstprägeanstalt' and that comes as issued
This is a neat - albeit moderately worn- ie. used - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being an (I deem) somewhat later-period- (and clearly maker- ie. '26'-marked-) example as was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'B.H. Mayers' Kunstprägeanstalt' (ie. 'Hersteller 26') and that comes as issued and/or recently found. The magnetic (and minimally vaulted) cross has still an attractive (just minimally darkened) age-patina and retains truly great detail: the black-coloured 'satin-like'-core (ie. the swastika-centre) does show, however, some minimal age & staining. The back of the cross is just minimally stained and dirty (but was never cleaned nor polished). The (flute-shaped) pin and typical catch (ie. set-up) are naturally unaltered and/or fully functional. The cross is I deem - as stated above - somewhat later-war-period example that was produced by the maker 'B.H. Mayers' Kunstprägeanstalt' as based in the town of Pforzheim and that was never before in a collection. I deem that this neat - and fully untouched! - IC is priced accordingly!
