Attractive - and scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) 'Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class IAB) being a neatly maker- (ie.'JFS'-) marked example that comes in a truly issued- ie. moderately worn, condition
This is an attractive example of the actually scarcely encountered - and truly desirable! - WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) 'Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a neatly maker- (ie.'JFS'-) marked example that comes in a truly issued- ie. moderately worn, condition. The badge - which is quite 'vaulted' ie. 'converse' as always - is a typical example as was produced by the: 'Josef Feix und Söhne'- (ie. 'JFS'-) company as was based in the town of Gablonz. The badge (which is as stated neatly maker-marked with the makers'-abbreviation- ie. -logo: 'JFS' on its back) shows some obvious wear, age and/or staining but has retained great pronounced detail and retains an almost fully preserved (neatly 'frosted' silver-coloured) finish: I deem that it was never cleaned nor polished. It comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and fully unaltered) pin- ie. catch set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive silver-class IAB that will be hard to be upgraded: I deem that I have priced this desirable war-badge according to its obvious scarcity and/or desirability!
