Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the bright-blue-coloured branchcolour as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann des Fahr-Abeilungs 14'

The attractive pair is neatly piped in the bright-blue- (ie. 'hellblauer'-) coloured branchcolour and was specifically intended for - and/or with certainty worn by! - a: 'Hauptmann des Fahr-Abteilungs 14' (or: captain who served within the 'Nachschub'- (ie. transport-) related unit numbered: '14') and comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used-, worn- and/or: carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Nachschub'-shoulderboards and have the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-pattern) 'upperdecks' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards show the bright-blue- (ie. 'hellblauer'-) coloured branchcolour and were constructed from the typical 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected. The boards never had any tongues attached and were most certainly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each and were most certainly issued- and/or worn as such and does show moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows two (non)matching sets of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized) '1'- and/or '4'-numerals (ie. cyphers or 'Ziffern') attached and shows two matching (and identically-styled) pairs (of bright-golden-toned and/or larger-sized) pips, period-attached. All eight devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Simply a very attractive set that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann des Fahr-Abeilungs 14'!
