Neat - and actually scarcely encountered! - example of a German Red Cross ('DRK' or: 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') side-cap eagle to be worn on the specic, greyish-blue-coloured DRK side-caps (ie. 'Schiffchen')

This is an attractive - typical early- (ie. first-!) pattern and actually scarcely encountered! - example of a German Red Cross (ie. 'DRK' or: 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') side-cap-eagle(device), as to be worn on the specic, greyish-blue coloured DRK side-caps (ie. 'Schiffchen') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. never side-cap-attached- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. This is one of those tiny cap-eagles that is almost impossible to find if needed. The patch was simply never pre-folded nor mounted onto a felt-woolen-based 'backing' (as can be seen on the pictures). The tiny piece measures only 4,8 x 3,8 cms. shows some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by having been stored as such for decades. Moreover, does it show some minimal glue-remains on its back simply caused by having glued into an album or scrapbook once (as can be noticed on the pictures). This example originates from a 'Musterbuch' (or: sample-book) that was period-compiled by the producing-company 'Offermann' as was based in the town of Ratingen. Simply a great opportunity to acquire a neat enlisted-mens'- (ie. NCO-) pattern, so-called: German Red Cross ('DRK' or: 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') side-cap eagle!
