Attractive - and scarcely found! - RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') 'Armwinkel' (or: rank-chevron) as was executed on a brown-coloured- and 'HBT'-like- (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was intended for usage by a: 'RAD-Hauptvormann'
This is an attractive - and actually very scarcely found! - example of a (typical) RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') 'Armwinkel' (or: rank-chevron) - being of the third- (ie. final-) pattern as was used in the period 1942-45 - as was executed on a (darker)brown-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like- (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was intended for usage by a: 'RAD-Hauptvormann' and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem never used- ie. 'virtually mint'-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed on a darker-brown-coloured 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based material and shows a detailed 'single-stripe' of silverish-beige-coloured NCO-braid and two (machine-embroidered) pips attached. The patch does show some storage-age only. The piece is not backed as more often encountered (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply an attractive RAD-rank-badge ie. 'Armwinkel' as executed on a 'Drillich'-based background that will be impossible to be upgraded!
