Attractive - and actually very scarely seen! - 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB) being a non-maker-marked, zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based, 'hollow'-variant as was produced by the: 'Hymmen & Co.'-company
This particular example - being as stated above a non-maker-marked, silverish-grey-toned- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based 'hollow'-back piece - has maintained an attractive age-patina and comes naturally mounted onto its functional (thin-shaped- and/or typical silver-toned) pin (which comes mounted onto its typical 'mounting' as seen with pieces by this particular maker). The piece is quite detailed and pronounced: it has, however, clearly been used and/or worn as such and does show some obvious age, wear and/or staining but was - I deem - never cleaned nor polished (it still retains a somewhat 'tarnished' finish as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - that has lost most ie. all of of its (presumably once-present) silverish-grey-toned finish as more often - shows great pronounced detail as to be expected. The piece is a typical (non-magnetic) 'zinc-based'-'hollow'-variant that was (I deem) produced by - and can be attributed to - the: 'Hymmen & Co.'-company based in the town of Lüdenscheid: certain specific details (such as the typical catch set-up only confirm this (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and actually scarely seen and desirable! - 'Hymmen & Co.'-GAB that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
