This particular example - being as stated above a clearly maker- (ie. 'A'-) marked, silverish-grey-toned- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based piece - has maintained an attractive age-patina and comes naturally mounted onto its functional (thin-shaped- and/or typical bright-silver-toned) pin (which comes mounted onto its typical 'mounting' as seen with pieces by this particular maker). The piece is quite detailed and pronounced: it has, however, clearly been used and/or worn as such and does show some obvious age, wear and/or staining but was - I deem - never cleaned nor polished (it still retains a somewhat 'tarnished' finish as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - that retains most ie. all of of its silverish-grey-toned finish - shows great pronounced detail as to be expected. The piece is a typical (non-magnetic) 'zinc-based'-variant that was produced by - and can be attributed to - the: 'Assmann & Söhne'-company: the tiny 'A'- (ie. '1'-) makers-designation (present in its centre of the swastika on the back of the badge) confirms this (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and actually scarely seen! - example that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
