Attractive, 'variant'-pattern, bright golden-toned WH (Heeres o. KM etc.) so-called: 'Einzelspange' (being of the desirable 'detachable'-pattern) showing a WH Czech 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '1 October 1938'
This is an attractive example of a bright-golden-toned, WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine etc.) so-called: 'Einzelspange' (or: single-pieced medal-bar) being of the desirable 'detachable'-pattern and showing a WH Czech 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '1 October 1938' (as was given to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czecoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) and that comes mounted onto its confectioned, black/red/black-coloured ribbon (ie. bar) as issued and/or minimally worn. The detail on this example is truly very nicely preserved: it has never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and somewhat 'frosted'- (ie. minimally tarnished) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal comes 'mounted' onto a metal-based 'clasp' that is neatly 'backed' with a piece of bright-red-coloured wool and that shows a functional pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this medal is of a scarcely seen 'variant'-pattern (showing the text on its back in a somewhat larger-sized script as can be seen on the pictures). Hard to find a more attractive WH Czech 'Anschluss'-medal that comes mounted as an: 'Einzelspange'!
