Enamelled 'RDC'- (ie. 'Reichsbewegung Deutsche Christen'-) 'Mitgliedsabzeichen' (or: membership lapel-pin of the first pattern) that is neatly maker- (ie. 'Willi Merten'-) marked and bearing a patent-pending- (ie. 'Ges.Gesch.'-) designation
This is an attractive example of a first pattern- (and nicely enamelled!) so-called: 'RDC'- (ie. 'Reichsbewegung Deutsche Christen'-) 'Mitgliedsabzeichen' (or: membership lapel-pin of the first pattern) that is neatly maker- (ie. 'Willi Merten'-) marked and bearing a patent-pending- (ie. 'Ges.Gesch.'-) designation on its back and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit used- ie. worn-), condition. The piece has stunning (and totally undamaged!) multi-coloured enamel and comes mounted on its original and functional long-sized pin (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished and is a tiny bit stained ie. tarnished. A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken'-lapel-pin catalogue, wherein it is given the unique reference number: '5106A' and an estimated value of 100 Eu. Simply an attractive 'RDC'-related item: hard to encounter a more nicely preserved example for a more interesting price!
