Attractive - and rarely seen! - example of a WH (Heeres) related armband (ie. 'Armbinde') entitled: 'Verkehrs-Aufsicht' (being of the 'entirely-woven'-type in a technique similar to the 'BeVo'-weave pattern)
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - bright-orange-coloured example of a WH (Heeres) related armband (ie. 'Armbinde') entitled: 'Verkehrs-Aufsicht' being an example of the 'partly-woven'-type in a technique similar to the 'BeVo'-weave pattern and that comes in a just minimally used- (ie. still 'virtually mint'-), condition. These linnen-based armbands were presumably intended for usage by military staff-members (ie. officers) tasked with traffic-control duties at the front and were presumably worn on the left upper-arm of the regular WH (Heeres) greatcoats and/or (officer-) tunics. This example - which has been 'off-factory sewn-together - has a total size of approximately 37 cms. and is 10,5 cms. wide - and is constructed from bright-orange-coloured linnen and shows the neatly interwoven text: 'Verkehrs-Aufsicht'. The armband is totally void of an ink-stamp (ie. 'Dienstsiegel') and is just a tiny bit stained and is moreover a tiny bit wrinkled. The piece is very nicely made and shows only moderate age ie. staining (simply caused by decades of storage and/or minimal wear). This example originates from a larger-sized armband-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) related armband that is with certainty accordingly priced!
