Superb - albeit regrettably single! - Waffen-SS NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the white-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'SS-Unterscharführer' who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Infanterie-Truppen'
This is an attractive - and very desirable and nowadays scarcely found! - regrettably single (I deem early-war-period- ie. to be dated around 1941/1942) Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstrap (ie. 'Schulterstück für Unterführer der Waffen-SS') as piped in the white-coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'SS-Unterscharführer' (ie. junior-sergeant) who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Infanterie-Truppen' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap is constructed from the typical, field-grey-coloured- and 'smooth-type' wool and has (of course) the black-coloured 'upperdeck': it is in all facets a 'standard-issued- and (I deem) fairly early-war-pattern-type strap. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length as more often encountered - shows the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type branchcolour ie. piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which is 'backed' with field-grey-coloured wool as to be expected - comes of course mounted onto its smaller-sized (and typical Waffen-SS-pattern!) tongue attached. The strap is totally void of any damage but does show some obvious wear, age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that almost every collector is looking for these white-piped, Waffen-SS NCO-type-shoulderstraps but these are very hard to find and nowadays hardly ever offered for sale. The strap is as stated above only moderately used ie. worn. It should be noted that these original, period Waffen-SS NCO-type-shoulderstraps can easily be graded 'very scarce': even more so, when they are piped in the rarely encountered, white-coloured- (ie. 'SS-Infanterie-Truppen'-related-) branchcolour!
