Attractive, police (ie. 'Gendarmerie'-related-) armbadge (ie. arm-eagle) - being a scarcely encountered! - summer-tunic-version that was specifically intended for a member who served within the: 'Polizei Hanau'

The attractive - and fairly large-sized arm-badge, sized: 10 x 9 cms. - is executed on the typical summer-type 'Polizei'-type linnen-based cloth (aka 'grünmellierte Stoff') and is nicely fortified with a linnen border as per regulation. The piece - that shows some minimal age and/or staining and wear - comes in an overall nice- (I deem clearly worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat piece truly shows great pronounced detail: the used machine-embroidery (done in typical bright-green-coloured linnen) is simply stunning (as can be seen on the pictures). These unusal 'Polizei'-related arm-eagles can also be encountered without having an embroidered towns-name above the eagle: this is a 'named' version showing the specific town embroidery entitled: 'Hanau'. It should be noted that these neat 'grünmellierter Gendarmerie Ärmeladler' can easily be graded 'fairly scarce' and come not that often for sale!
