Superb - and fully matching! - pair of early- (ie. pre-war-) period WH (Heeres), 'M36'- (ie. 'M40-) pattern rounded-style, 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Superb - and fully matching! - pair of early- (ie. pre-war-) period WH (Heeres), 'M36'- (ie. 'M40-) pattern rounded-style, 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Pionier-Bataillons 27'

This is an attractive - fully matching and with certainty scarcely found! - pair of (fairly early- ie. rounded-styled), neatly 'cyphered' WH (Heeres) NCO- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern) shoulderstraps as piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and clearly used by! - an NCO (ie. 'Feldwebel' or: sergeant) who served within engineers'-unit ie. bataillon, numbered: '27' being a part of the 27th infantry-division) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The straps are just moderately worn and do show some minimal wear, age and/or staining but are void of any real damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping and measure approximately 12 cms. in length each. The pieces show the 'standard'-pattern (somewhat shiny) silverish-grey-coloured, NCO-braid attached and came without tongues: they were clearly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows a fully matchining set of (identical, larger-sized, early-pattern and/or: typical aluminium-based) so-called: '2'- and/or: '7'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and two (identical, and also aluminium-based) pips period-attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Feldwebel' (or: sergeant). The pair is constructed from the typical darker-green-coloured wool and is with certainty a 'standard-issued'-pair. These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period-pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered'-shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and with certainty desirable! - 'cyphered', 'Pioniere'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Pionier-Bataillons 27'; I deem that I priced this attractive pair according to its overall nicely preserved condition!
