Attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - WH (Luftwaffe) collar-tab (ie. 'Kragenspiegel') as was intended for usage by a: 'Flieger-Hauptingenieur' (being a rank similar to: 'Hauptmann')
This is an attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - neatly hand-embroidered, WH (Luftwaffe) collar-tab (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere der Luftwaffe') as executed in silverish-coloured braid onto a bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured background, as was specifically intended for usage by an officer holding the rank of: 'Flieger-Hauptingenieur' (being a rank similar to: 'Hauptmann' ie. captain) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem simply never used- nor tunic-attached- ie. 'virtually mint'-), condition. The tab is executed in the neat smooth-like (ie. 'moleskin'-type) wool and has truly extraordinary detail: the shown craftmanship is simply stunning. The backing is constructed of beige-coloured, so-called 'buckram'-based cloth (as can be seen on the pictures). The tab shows some minimal age- ie. staining caused by decades of storage only (as can be seen on the pictures). These 'pink-coloured' LW-tabs as intended for commissioned staffmembers of the 'Ingenieurkorps der Luftwaffe' are quite hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive collar-tab that belonged to a: 'Flieger-Hauptingenieur' and that will be impossible to be upgraded!
