This is a very attractive - and I deem hardly ie. only minimally used! - example of a (Heeres) typical field-grey-coloured- and/or steel-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being (an unusally seen!) non-maker-marked- nor dated example that comes mounted onto its (light-brown-coloured) leather-based tab and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem only minimally worn- ie. used-), condition. The buckle truly retains almost all of its somewhat 'shiny'-styled, field-grey-coloured finish without showing any real defaults: it does show some minimal wear- and age-marks but was simply never cleaned nor polished and does show some minimal (rust) staining ie. 'Flugrost' (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows also some obvious dust and/or staining caused by over more than 80 years of storage. The leather-based tab is naturally also still fully functional and souple: it is totally void of a makers'-designation nor stamp (as can be clearly observed in the pictures) and remains in an equally nicely preserved condition overall (it was - I deem - never greased nor oiled but does show some age ie. staining). The buckle itself is also unmarked (something that is more often observed). The piece was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply an attractive - and nowadays quite scarcely found! - non-maker-marked, 'Heeres'-example that is priced according to its overall very nice ie. just minimally used- ie. hardly worn condition!
