Attractive, WH (Heeres) officers'-type cap-eagle and cocarde (as executed in so-called: 'flat-wire'- ie. 'BeVo'-weave pattern) as was specifically intended for usage on the: WH 'Knautschmützen' ie. 'Alter-art'-visor-caps (ie. 'Schirmmützen')
These desirable - scarcely found and fairly early-period! - WH (Heeres) cap-eagle-/cocarde-sets were specifically intended for usage onto the WH-'Knautschmützen' ie. 'Alter-art'-visor-caps (or: old-style 'Schirmmützen') but saw usage throughout the war. The attractive - and fully matching! - set on offer here was found together and is fully matching and is executed in bright silverish-grey- (ie. 'flatwire'- ie. BeVo-type) thread on a darker-green-coloured (and/or typical linnen-based) background and was as such clearly intended to be used onto an: 'Alter-art'-visor-cap. Both insignia-pieces were nicely folded (ie. trimmed) and were most certainly once-cap-attached: they come as clearly cap-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these attractive WH (Heeres) 'flatwire-type' cap-eagle-/cocarde-sets are hardly ever offered for sale and can easily be graded 'scarce'. I deem that this attractive WH 'Knautschmützen' ie. 'Alter-art'-visor-cap insignia-set is priced according to its used- and/or partly trimmed condition!
