Attractive - and clearly used! - Waffen-SS- (ie. Heeres Panzer-) type 'Armwinkel' (or: rank-chevron) as executed on black-coloured wool as was intended for an: 'SS-Mann' (ie. 'Gefreiter')
This is a neat - and I deem clearly used- ie. worn! - example of a Waffen-SS- (ie. Heeres Panzer-) type 'Armwinkel' (or: rank-chevron) as was executed on black-coloured wool as was intended for usage by an: 'SS-Mann' (ie. Heeres 'Gefreiter') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- and/or: carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The rank-chevron is executed on the 'smooth-type'- and/or black-coloured wool and shows a single stripe of the bluish-grey-coloured (ie. 'standard-issue' sub-dued-pattern) NCO-braid attached denoting the rank of: 'SS-Mann' ie. 'Gefreiter' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some aging, dust ie. staining simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage only. It should be noted that these particular rank-chevrons could also be used as WH (Heeres) Panzer-insignia. It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple', 'Waffen-SS'- ie. Panzer-rank-insignia are not that easy to encounter. I deem that I have priced this (100% genuine- and/or with certainty period item!) accordingly.
