Superb - high-quality and Spanish-issued- ie. Spanish Civil-War-related - commemorative breast-star (ie. 'Bruststern') called: 'Al Merito en Campaña' that comes in a wonderful and hardly used ie. worn, condition
The very attractive - high-quality and Spanish-issued- ie. Spanish Civil-War-related - commemorative breast-star (ie. 'Bruststern') called: 'Al Merito en Campaña' comes in an overall wonderful (and I deem) hardly used nor worn, condition. The silver (ie. golden!) toned award shows in its centre a multi-coloured enamelled device (that is totally void of any damaged: the award itself retains all of its fairly bright, golden-toned finish and retains a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance: it is just a bit dirty and/or tarnished simply caused by decades of storage and minimal wear. The piece shows a (luxuriously-styled!) silver-toned back which is totally void of a makers-designation as to be expected. The award - which was presumably issued but was simply never worn - comes mounted onto its original and fully functional pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up and has also both its supportive hooks (to carry the weight when worn) in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was recently uncovered at a private-household in Germany and belonged with certainty to a German soldier and veteran of the Spanish Civil-War. Simply a nice opportunity to aquire an attracttive example of this Spanish-issued, Spanish Civil-War commemorative-breast-star!
