Attractive, 'Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend' (or: RADwJ ie.: Womens Labor Service) so-called: 'Brosche für Kameradschaftsältesten' being a clearly maker- (ie. 'B'-) marked and/or: '1941'-dated example
The attractive - and truly nicely preserved! - 'RADwJ-Brosche für Kameradschaftsältesten' (or: RADwJ-membership-brooch for senior officials) has an approximate diameter of 4,5 cms. and still retains stunning detail and comes of course mounted onto its functional pin and/or catch (set-up). The brooch - which is a regular-weight version as was executed in greyish-silver-toned- (ie. zinc- or: 'Feinzink'-based-) metal - is as stated a neatly maker- (ie. 'B'-) marked and/or: '1941'-dated example that was (I deem) hardly or even never worn: it was never cleaned nor polished and retains a minimally tarnished age-patina, showing some normal age and/or staining. Next to the clearly present makers'-designation does the badge also bear a so-called: 'RADwJ'-marking on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). A similar 'brooch' is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken 'Abzeichen'-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (3806C) and given an estimated value of 90 Eu. I deem that this attractive RADwJ-brooch is accordingly priced!
