Superb - and scarcely seen! - bright-silver-toned, Preussen-related so-called: 'Einzelspange' showing a medal: 'Für Rettung aus Gefahr' and showing on its front an illustration ie. portrait of: 'Friedrich Wilhelm - III Koenig von Preussen'
This is an attractive - and I deem hardly used nor worn! - example of a bright- (ie. 'frosted') silver-toned- and Preussen-related so-called: 'Einzelspange' showing a nicely preserved (and very early- ie. first pattern!) medal: 'Für Rettung aus Gefahr' and showing on its front an illustration ie. portrait of: 'Friedrich Wilhelm - III Koenig von Preussen' and that comes mounted onto its confectioned, golden-orange-coloured- and/or white-striped ribbon as issued and/or worn. The detail on this example is still extraordinary: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and truly 'frosted'- (ie. minimally tarnished) age-patina. The medal is 'mounted' onto a clasp (with functional pin/catch-set-up) as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. This example truly retains gorgeous details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- ie. tarnished (ie. dirty) age-patina: it retains all of its fairly 'glossy'- and/or: silver-toned finish. It is nicely 'backed' with a piece of (typical) bright-red-coloured wool as is more often seen. The ribbon shows only minimal usage and/or staining. Hard to find a more attractive Prussian-related example of this 'Für Rettung aus Gefahr'-medal that comes mounted as an: 'Einzelspange'!
