Interesting - and typical aluminium-based - WH (Heeres) ie. 'Truppen-Betreuungs'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '1.Tp.Betr.K.563'
This is an attractive example of a greyish-silver-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) ie. 'Truppen-Betreuungs'-related, 'standard-issue pattern'- ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the (clearly!) stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '1.Tp.Betr.K.563' (and as such being a disc that was I deem intended for a soldier or NCO who served within the first company of the : 'Truppen-Betreuungs-K.' (I do not know where the capital 'K'-character stands for), numbered: '563' (ie.: troops-support unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn- and/or minimally stained-), condition. The attractive disc comes in an overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of a stamped bearers'-blood-group-type something that is more often observed. The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). The disc originates from a private-household where it was recently uncovered. There is not much reference-material available regarding these 'WH-Truppen-Betreuungs'-units but a fact is that they played a very important role for the soldiers at the front. I deem that this interesting ID-disc most certainly merits further investigative work. Simply an attractive and honest WH (Heeres) ie. 'Truppen-Betreuungs'-related ID-disc that is with certainty not that often found and that is I deem accordingly priced!
