Superb - and truly rarely seen! - locally produced(!), 'Waffen-SS'-type armshield as (partly) executed in the so-called: 'semi-BeVo'-pattern entitled: 'Latvia' as was merely intended for usage by the members of the: 'Latvian Legion'
This is a truly rarely encountered example of a partly 'semi-BeVo'-pattern ie. 'Waffen-SS-type' armshield entitled: 'Latvia' as was specifically intended for usage by the members of the so-called: 'Latvian Legion' (and later the: '15. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS' or: 'Lettische nr.1') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem simply never used- nor worn ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The shield comes as stated above in a truly mint and/or never tunic-attached condition: it was never 'trimmed' nor confectioned (as can be seen on the pictures) and rates as one of the more difficult SS-type shields to encounter. The used 'weave'-technique (in the lettering Latvia) is very nice and similar to the German 'BeVo'-style technique. These shields were (I deem) locally-produced in Latvia. Simply a very nice and most certainly rarely encountered foreign-volunteer-related item: only the second such rare Latvian-related item I ever had on offer!
