Attractive - and fairly unusually encountered! - Dutch volunteer-related breast-badge as was specifically intended for members serving within the: 'Germanische Landdienst' being a detailed- and zinc-based example
This is an attractive - and with certainty unusually encountered! - Dutch volunteer-related breastbadge (ie. 'Dienst- o. Mitgliedsbrosche') as was specifcally intended for usage by members who served within the: 'Germanische Landdienst' being a detailed example that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. These attractive breast-badges were worn by all European (incl. the Dutch-) volunteers that worked for a pre-determined period within the so-called: 'Germanische Landdienst'. The badge on offer here - is executed in silverish-grey-coloured zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based metal (as always) and comes in an overall nice- and/or totally uncleaned- and untouched, condition: it comes as recently found. The badge shows its period-attached pin-/catch set-up which is naturally still functional (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge has clearly been worn and was never cleaned or polished: it retains an attractive, typical zinc-like age-patina. A similar example of this rare badge is also figured in the 'Heering/Hüsken'-lapel-pin-catalogue, wherein it has been given the unique reference-number: 'K8 05A' and given an estimated value of 500 Eu (!). The piece shows some (undecypherable) engraved text on its back (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and with certainty unusally encountered! - Germanic volunteer-related breast-badge that is with certainty accordingly priced!
