Superb - and truly very rarely found! - pair of white-piped 'NPEA'- (ie. 'Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten' or: 'NAPOLA') shoulderstraps for usage by a student (ie. 'HJ-Scharführer') who served within one of the: 'NPEA'-institutes
This is a very attractive - fully matching and truly very rarely encountered! - pair of white-piped, so-called: 'NPEA'- (ie. 'Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten' or: 'Napola') shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage by a student (ie. 'HJ-Scharführer') who served within one of the: 'NPEA'- (ie. 'NAPOLA'-) institutes and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The straps - which are executed in black-coloured (smooth-type) wool having the white-embroidered 'NPEA'-characters and white-coloured- (and typical rayon-like) piping attached miss their tongues as found: the pair was most likely worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). The pieces show (both) the remains of the paper-based 'RzM'-etikets and do show some normal age and wear. They do measure approximately 11 cms. in length as usually encountered. Both straps show each two (typically smaller-sized- and greyish-silver-toned) pips attached denoting the rank of a: 'HJ-Scharführer'. These interesting so-called: 'Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten' ie. 'NAPOLA' were National Political Institutes of Education (officially abbreviated as: 'NPEA', however, commonly abbreviated as: 'Napola' for 'Nationalpolitische Lehranstalt' meaning National Political Institution of Teaching) were secondary boarding-schools in TR-Germany. They were founded as 'community education sites' after the National Socialist seizure of power in 1933. Simply a very attractive - and most certainly very rarely encountered! - youth-related, NPEA-shoulderstrap-pair that is priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
