Neat, golden-bronze-toned- (and I deem typical zinc-based) WH (Heeres) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was issued to commemorate a meeting named: 'RIR 248 Rgts.Treffen - Kirchheim u. T. - 1. u. 2. Sept 1934'
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty not that easily encountered! - golden-bronze-toned- (and/or I deem zinc-based), commemorative WH (Heeres) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') that depicts an oval-shaped regimental-shield with the numeral: '248' and text that reads: 'RIR 248 Rgts.Treffen - Kirchheim u. T. - 1. u. 2. Sept 1934' and that was as such intended for gathering ie. rally that was issued to commemorate the: '248. Infanterie Regiment'. The neat and pronounced (shield-shaped) badge - which has an approximate height of 4,5 cms. - is void of a makers'-designation and comes in an overall very nice (albeit issued and/or minimally worn-), condition: it shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished (some minimal staining is, however, present and visible as can be seen on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted on its (functional) pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that often encountered - locally-issued- and early-period, WH (Heeres) related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
