Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), early-war-period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern, 'tailor-made') NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Veterinär-Truppen o. Stab der 8. Division'
This is an attractive - fully matching and actually not that easily found! - pair of typical 'tailor-made'- (ie. 'privately-purchased'-) pattern, WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as piped in the bright-pink- ie. crimson- (or: 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Veterinär-Truppen o. Stab der 8. Division' (or: sergeant first-class who served within an army veterinarian-unit or staff of the eight division) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. moderately used- and most certainly worn- and/or I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical woolen'- (ie. 'boiled wool'-) based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each - show the neat bright-pink- ie. crimson- (or: 'karmesinroter'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping attached. The straps show a neat (fully matching, regular-sized- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) pair of '8'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and two pairs of (identical, smaller-sized and also 'Buntmetall'-based) pips, period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - that show the typical silverish-toned) NCO-braid attached - never had any tongues attached and were most certainly intended (and used as!) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just very nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). It should, moreover, be noted that the bright-pink- ie. crimson- (or: 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour is one of the more difficult to encounter branchcolours of the entire: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht'. I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat - and most certainly desirable! - NCO-type, 'Veterinäre o. Stab'-related, NCO-shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
