Superb - fully matching and typical later-war-pattern - pair of 'SS/SD' (ie. 'Sicherheitsdienst') officers'-pattern collar-tabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Führer') being a carefully tunic-removed pair as was intended for an: 'SD-Hauptsturmführer'
The attractive officers'-pattern pair of 'SS/SD' (ie. 'Sicherheitsdienst') officers'-pattern collar-tabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Führer im SD o. Sicherheitsdienst') on offer here is a moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed pair that was specifically intended for usage by an: 'SD-Hauptsturmführer' (ie. comparable with a captain) and that comes as stated in a wonderful- (and - I deem - just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat tabs - which are naturally piped with thin-shaped, twisted- and silver-coloured braid - are executed in black-coloured, smooth-type wool (as can be seen on the pictures). The rank-tab - which still shows the remains of a paper-based 'RzM'-etiket - shows three typical (zinc-based) rank-pips and two stripes of bright-silver-toned- and black-centered braid denoting the rank of an: 'SD-Hauptsturmführer' (ie. captain). Both tabs show the 'standard'-pattern, beige-brownish-coloured and/or: 'buckram'-based 'backings' as to be expected. As stated above, was the set clearly once-tunic-attached and still shows some of the period stitching- (ie. thread-) remains (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these later-war-pattern, 'SS/SD' (ie. 'Sicherheitsdienst') officers'-pattern collar-tab-pairs can easily be graded 'very scarce'. I deem that I have priced this attractive and truly used- and worn pair accordingly!
