Unusually seen, commemorative TR-period day-badge (ie. 'tinnie') as issued to commemorate a DAF- (ie. KDF-) related gathering depicting the text: 'Mit KdF zur Int. Handwerksausstellung - Berlin - 1938'
This is an attractive - and with certainty unusually seen! - typical TR-period- and/or: DAF- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront'-) ie. KDF- (ie. 'Kraft durch Freude'-) related day-badge ie. 'tinnie' (ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') that was issued to commemorate a specific gathering (held in the town of Berlin) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit surely issued ie. moderately worn-), condition. The detailed and/or pronounced badge - which is executed in golden-bronze-toned- and - I deem- typical tin-based metal - shows the specific DAF/KDF-logo and knight with sword in front of a large building coupled with the tekst: 'Mit KdF zur Int. Handwerksausstellung - Berlin - 1938' as mentioned-above. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and retains a nice and untouched age-patina. The piece is totally void of a makers'-designation and comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. It should be noted that all 'tinnies' that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'towns'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive, DAF- (ie. KDF-) related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is accordingly priced!
