Attractive, WHW- (ie. 'Winterhilfswerke'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie') or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen des Standschützenverbandes Tirol-Vorarlberg' depicting the text: 'W.H.W. Opferschiessen 1942/43'
This is a neatly enamelled - and actually not that easily encountered! - circular-shaped- and medium-sized so-called: WHW- (ie. 'Winterhilfswerke'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie') or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen des Standschützenverbandes Tirol-Vorarlberg' depicting the text: 'W.H.W. Opferschiessen 1942/43' and being a typical example that was issued by the: 'Standschützenverband Tirol-Vorarlberg' and that comes in a minimally worn- (albeit fully undamaged and/or truly nicely preserved!), condition. The badge - which shows a vague but surely present makers'-designation on its back that reads: 'K. Pichl - Innsbruck' comes naturally mounted on its (fully functional- and/or totally unaltered-) pin- ie. pin-catch set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). It retains a fully undamaged, silverish-toned finish and has an undamaged, multi-coloured- and/or nicely enamelled surface (as can be seen on the pictures). These attractive day-badges were awarded (in similar form and/or model) from 1940 onwards and are actually not that commonly encountered. This attractive - and totally undamaged! - example has an approximate diameter of 3,5 cms. and originates from a German private-household: it was never before in collectors'-hands. I deem that I priced this attractive and/or nicely preserved, fairly 'high-quality-produced' example of a: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen des Standschützenverbandes Tirol-Vorarlberg' commemorating a shooting-contest named the: 'W.H.W. Opferschiessen 1942/43', accordingly!
