This particular example has a 'wingspan' of approximately 8,8 cms. and is nicely machine-embroidered using silverish-grey-coloured linnen and was mounted on a greyish-blue coloured- (ie. typical 'Luftwaffe'-type- and woolen-based-) background (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle was clearly issued and/or moderately used- ie. worn: it was once tunic-attached and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (but is void of any real damage): some of the period stitching-holes are still present and/or visible. These early-pattern LW-breast-eagles could be found on the 'LW-Viertaschen-Rock' and also saw usage on the early-pattern 'LW-Fliegerblusen'. Simply a neat - and not that easily found! - enlisted-mens'- (ie NCO-) pattern example that is accordingly priced!
