Attractive pair of WH (Heeres) - and I deem later-war-pattern! - officers'-type shoulderboards (ie. 'Schulterstücken für Offiziere m. Sonderführer-Dienstgrad') as was intended for an officer who served as a: 'Sonderführer Z'
This is an attractive - and actually scarcely seen! - pair of WH (Heeres), officers'-type shoulderboards (ie. 'Schulterstücken für Offiziere mit Sonderführer-Dienstgrad') showing the typical bluish-grey 'underlay' (ie. branchcolour) and multi-coloured 'striped upperdecks' as was specifically intended for an officer who served as a: 'Sonderführer Z' (or: specialised officer with specifically assigned tasks) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem issued- albeit never worn nor tunic-attached-), condition. The pair - which has the (typical) bluish-grey-coloured 'underlay' and' upperdecks' showing the 'black-white-red'-coloured, V-shaped-structure as to be expected - never has any tongues attached and was with certainty intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat pair - that measures approximately 11,4 cms. in length - is just a tiny bit stained due to decades of storage and/or handling. These shoulderboards were the 'standard-issue'-version of the officers'-type 'Sonderführer Z'-shoulderboards. Simply a great pair of 'Sonderführer'-related, officers'-pattern 'Schulterstücken' that comes in an overal wonderful condition: hard to find a nicer and more attractive pair for a more interesting price!
