This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - pre- (ie. early-) war-period, WH (Heeres) 'M36 o. M40'-) pattern (rounded-style) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroterer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Regiments 21' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the artillery-regiment numbered '21') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap has a darker-green-coloured and (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdeck' as to be expected and shows the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroterer'-) coloured and/or 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The tongue is naturally also present and/or functional. The strap - which measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length and that is with certainty a 'standard-issued'-type strap - shows the 'standard'-pattern, silver-coloured 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid, attached. Moreover, does the strap show a pair of (larger-sized and/or: 'Buntmetall-based) '2'- and '1' numerals and two (non-matching and aluminium-based) pips period-attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel' (ie. sergeant first-class). All four devices (as well as the strap itself) show some moderate age- ie. fair tarnish and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible-/present). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this strap came together with the golden-toned 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Plakette' that I offer under number 57843: both items originated from the same NCO who kept and stored these items for decades. Simply an attractive and/or pre- (ie. early-) war-period, 'cyphered Heeres'-related shoulderstrap as was intended for an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Regiments 21': too bad that it is only a single strap!
