Commemorative, WHW- (ie. 'Winterhilfswerke'-) related 'tinnie' being a non-maker marked example depicting a steel-helmet and sword and showing the text: 'Hoch lebe der Rekrut'
This is a typical, commemorative, WHW- (ie. 'Winterhilfswerke'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' as was - I deem - issued on one of the 'Tag der Wehrmacht'-gatherings) being a non-maker marked example depicting a steel-helmet and upward positioned sword and showing the text: 'Hoch lebe der Rekrut' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. The badge is executed in golden- ie. copper-toned 'pot-metal' and shows some normal wear and/or moderate age. The piece comes mounted onto its period pin set-up and has (I deem) never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal staining and dust (as can be seen on the pictures) but is still very detailed and/or pronounced. The regular-sized piece (measuring approximately 5 x 5 cms.) is totally void of a makers'-designation. Simply a neat WHW- (ie. 'Winterhilfswerke'- ie. 'Tag der Wehrmacht'-) related tinnie that is accordingly priced!
